Who's been digging in my garden? Not Barnaby!
Woke up to this mess this morning. Work had started on Boxing Day
and continued overnight.It must be a fox as the only other thing capable of this is a badger and they should be in hibernation now.

Barnaby will have something to say about that.
I put some dog pooh down the hole as a deterent!!

Wrapped up for winter

I don't care how many times I have to wrap
and unwrap the echiums. I'm not taking any chances
with the weather!!

A new garden friend

Having a clear up and found this splendid toad
under some flower pots. I bet he thought he
was tucked up safely for the winter.

Tetrapanax flower

Last winter I was teased when my Tetrapanax went into bud only to be quickly halted by the frosts. This year however......

Echiums

The echiums have done really well during the summer.  If they survive the winter, the flowers should be spectacular next summer.  One of them is now 7' tall.

Winter roses

The autumn has been very kind to us and summer flowers are still in bloom.  I am hoping for some roses at Christmas!
